Quick tips and a challenge!

It's been a few days since we finished and released Todd and Bobb's Excellent Adventure, a short Ludum Dare 46 game, to the public and we have received some awesome feedback!

That feedback has been translated into numerous tweaks and fixes that can be seen in the previous patch notes. However, there is one significant pain point that we have not changed and that is the controls!

Rather than revamp the controller entirely and move to a more traditional system, I encourage you to try it a few times to get the feel of it. While it can be different at first, once you understand and get used to it, you will find that the game plays really well with the current control scheme! To that end, here are some quick tips to survive and a link to a full run completed in 4:02 so you can see them working (note that this is not even close to a "perfect run" as I get knocked down a few times).

Tips:

- While sprinting consumes energy it is key to survival, save your sprints for when you have the lead on the zombies but need to get through a tight spot.

- Torch swing can consume energy fast, it works in a forward arc, and has a limited range but is effective at scaring clumped mobs. Use torch swing when mobs are clumped and mobbing your dragon or in your way and unavoidable. Torch swing is activated with the left mouse button.

- Use obstacles to your advantage. The Undead don't have the ability to climb on tables or rocks effectively.

- The lanterns need to be visited and used in order to light the next one, follow the glowing semi-circle if you get disoriented.

- Keep moving! The environment is pretty nice (great work by our design master!) but the timer is a bit too tight to waste time wandering unless you don't mind dying :)
